EP 45: Colour

One of the topics you asked for dear coven members, we are looking at colour and how we use it to enhance our energy work.

We are familiar with using colour in candle magic, in every metaphysical shop there are lovely little candles in every imaginable colour. They will burn for about an hour lending their colour to your spell work.

Colour is a powerful tool, we see it being used in our home decor and in marketing to inspire us and create emotion. That is why it is so powerful when we use it in magic.

We know in our hearts that green calms people, red enlivens us and earth tones like brown help us feel safe and comforted. CEOs wear a red tie or red statement shoes to show their power in boardrooms.

You know that I love to weave magic into my life… in simple ways that add up.

Choosing my clothes and some of my accessories based on the demands of my day is one way that I do that. It is true I mostly wear shades of black and grey…so I add colour to my clothing by having brightly coloured underwear, shoes, scarves or jewelry. It’s not about others seeing the colour… I know it is there and I can invoke the energy of the colour.

I like adding colour to my altar using flowers. I don’t have a great background in flora or fauna, so when I add flowers, I use them purely for their colour.

Food is a perfect way, the colour of our fruits and veggies can connect to our chakra system and colour magic.

There are no limits to how we can add colour – we can be creative with it
