Today’s episode is a treat, I am interviewing my friend Tien the Wizard. I love chatting with Tien, some of my favourite conversations with him have happened when we are working the same event, we like to hang out at each other’s booths between clients. This Episode flows a lot like one of those conversations, I didn’t plan a topic for us. We just started talking and what evolved is this beautiful episode all about creativity, being in the flow, and saying yes to what inspires you.
Tien Noe Eamas is an Asian trans alchemist, that has been concocting spells since 2010 and silver/gold smithing since 1996. Tien teaches, performs, gives readings, fabricates, concocts spells and spreads magick and joy through his work. Almost all of the jewelry I wear has been smithed by Tien. We share a love for stirring bubbling pots full of soaps, he has a fantastic line of soap. It’s the only soap I use other than my own.

We start our conversation by us chatting about creativity and dispelling some gatekeeping myths about what creativity is. Then we flow into all sorts of themes:

- The enlightenment process (getting out of your way)
- Idea of the soul’s purpose
- Honoring all expressions of art, even those that may seem mundane
Tien shares his creative process with us. You get to hear the stories behind the creation of his some of his jewelry lines, the Galactica series and the Astro series. Plus the creation of his newest decks that is still waiting in the wings, all the art is completed and it will be released when it feels right. The Wizard lives in the creative flow and has learned to listen and also act when spirit inspires him.
