Episode 2

Getting into the Triple Goddess

Episode 2 focuses on the archetypes of the triple Goddess, Maiden, Mother and Crone. As we dive into each one of these I am going to challenge you to re-think some of the ideas we have absorbed through popular culture, within each stage of life there is a message of female empowerment that we can explore.

The Maiden : Looking at the maiden aspect of the triple Goddess, we discover themes of expansion and freedom expressed by these powerful youthful goddesses. The energy of youth is about growth and self-discovery. We find that many of our goddesses of the hunt are actually maiden-style Goddesses.

The Mother : In our discussion of Mother Goddesses we talk about we can call on the wisdom of this archetype for many of our creative projects. The divine mother can lend her womb to us as we build and form companies or write books.

The Crone : When we look at the energies of the Crone I cannot help but get onto a bit of a soapbox.

We look at how our modern culture tries to erase women past childbearing age. The unflattering picture now painted of this once revered wise woman.

She holds the secrets of childbirth, having experienced it before she grew into the crone. She comforts the mother in her most vulnerable times. Then on long solstice nights, the Crone whispers secrets to the maiden preparing her for the coming spring.
